ABOUT THE VENUE
Run a Spartan Trail as part of the 2021 Spartan World Championship amongst the culturally rich and visually intoxicating Moreeb Dunes, situated 250km south west of the excursionist hotspot, Abu Dhabi.
From Abu Dhabi city's famous Corniche to the Oasis City of Al Ain and the massive dunes of Al Dhafra's Empty Quarter desert, culture, history and adventure are encapsulated in the emirate. Whether you crave water sports, need an adrenaline rush, or simply want to soak up some rays and enjoy shimmering turquoise water Abu Dhabi has you covered. Soak up and embrace the friendly and noble culture that combines centuries of fascinating history with an incredibly modern and tolerant way of life.
For a truly one-of-a-kind experience, we will erect a temporary "Spartan Village" desert oasis where racers will congregate and sleep under the stars, while not on the surrounding course. Festivities will include a myriad of local traditions and flavor, including local fare, cultural demonstrations, and some good ole fashion dune buggies. Choose your challenge between the Half Marathon and 50K Trail distances, and Spartan Obstacle Course Races.
