Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, nestled in California's Eastern Sierra, offers an unrivaled combination of rugged terrain and stunning natural beauty. Known for its towering peaks, expansive wilderness, and challenging elevation, it’s the perfect venue for an OCR showdown. Racers will face steep climbs, rocky trails, and breathtaking alpine views that will test their endurance and spirit in every step.
Flying:
The closest airport is Mammoth Yosemite Airport (MMH), about 15 minutes from the resort, with seasonal flights from major hubs like Los Angeles (LAX). Alternatively, fly into Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) or Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), both around a 3-4 hour drive away.
Driving:
Mammoth Mountain is easily accessible by car via U.S. Highway 395, which runs along the Eastern Sierra. The drive from Los Angeles takes about 5 hours, while San Francisco and Las Vegas are around 6-7 hours away.
Shuttle Services: Eastern Sierra Transit offers shuttle services from nearby cities and airports, and Mammoth also provides local shuttles to get around the area once you arrive.
