As we return to hosting events, Spartan’s #1 priority is to put on safe, enjoyable, and physically challenging races. Below are the guiding safety principles and event modifications we’re making to ensure a safe, exciting event for everyone.
In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and varying state health guidelines, Spartan has implemented safety measures to mitigate COVID-19 transmission risks at events.
All event staff will be tested and cleared prior to arriving on site. All participants are subject to declaration of health prior to admission.
Capacity will be limited, start times will be staggered. All Sign ups must be made online. Less crowds, more room to spread out and distance.
All customer touchpoints undergo enhanced cleaning. Sanitizer is available throughout the festival area, and event modifications are made to reduce interactions with others.
Face coverings are required for staff and in indoor areas like shuttle busses. Masks are not required on course or in the Festival area, but are recommended for any unvaccinated racers.
Spartan is teaming up with Eurofins, one of the world’s leading clinical diagnostics companies, to help us get back to doing what we love.
COVID-19 testing is not required for race participants. But, if you wish to race with absolute confidence, Eurofins makes at-home COVID-19 testing easy. Their testing kits are shipped to you within 24 hours, and once you complete your test, you’ll receive your results within 48 hours.
Note that while racers do not have to complete a test, every member of our staff is required to follow a thorough multi-test COVID-19 protocol, facilitated by Eurofins.
