The Spartan United States National Series features competition at its highest level in the sport of obstacle course racing. Athletes compete in a series of 5 races covering the nation's top venues, where they will battle for top rankings and over $15,000 in prize money. As one part of Global National Series, the US National Series leads into the North American Championship in West Virginia, before competing for the world title in Lake Tahoe, California in late September.
THE SPARTAN UNITED STATES NATIONAL SERIES EVENT LOCATIONS:
Racers will battle it out on five Spartan Race's most epic courses across the country, where contenders must prove they can conquer the best Spartan has to offer. The series kicks off on a motocross track in Jacksonville, then heads to Alabama for an epic swamp battle. The infamous Seattle Race returns to Snohomish County, WA on April 13, followed by the mountains of Big Bear in Southern California on May 18. The final event, where the National Series champions will be crowned is in Huntsville, UT on July 20. The championship is awarded based on cumulative series ranking points, so every race matters in this series. This year, four of the U.S. Championship events feature Spartan’s signature Super race format, that features 8+ miles of terrain and 25 signature obstacles. The Big Bear Race in Southern California will feature the Spartan Beast race course with 12+ miles and 30 signature obstacles.
Only the right combination of speed, strength, and endurance, only the most consistent and well-rounded athlete will prevail and be named as the U.S. National Series Champion.
